A boardroom is an area that is used to hold meetings between the Board of Directors and senior managers of an organization. These meetings are used to discuss important topics and my site the Board is responsible to ensure that the company’s decisions are made in line with shareholders’ interests. In spoken communication, the term “boardrooms’ can also refer to events that are thought to be occurring in the boardroom for business purposes however they are not actually held in one.
A boardroom is a common feature in any building but is typically located within corporate offices. It can comfortably accommodate twenty or more people and is usually equipped with large touch screens for visual presentations during meetings. An agenda is usually distributed in advance to ensure that the participants are informed of what to expect.
In the event of not being used, the majority of boardrooms have cabinets that are able to store audio-visual equipment. A typical boardroom will contain a doc camera, Blu ray player, and LCD display. Based on the layout and size of the boardroom, it may be necessary for several screens to be installed along with an Extron DVS605 Plus scaling switcher to accommodate various sources. In addition to the AV equipment, many boardrooms also have a video conference setup that allows participants to take part from locations other than the meeting venue.
