When you hear the words “business software” or “reporting,” your mind may be drawn to binders stuffed with charts and spreadsheets, perhaps conference rooms packed with executives looking through slides. However, these images do not reflect something important: the potential to add value to businesses.

New technologies are cooperating with each other to improve business reporting and software. Machine learning and cognitive tools will perform much of the work, allowing humans to do more interesting, value-driven work.

The winners of the new period are those who redefine what it means to be a product-led company in its broadest sense, and make use of their products to attract customers, retain them and expand. To achieve this, they will need to incorporate PLG into the methods they design, create and market their products.
